OpenJAUS 3.3.0
Now Available: The next-generation of OpenJAUS code!
Over a year in the making, OpenJAUS ver 3.3.0 was released on July 9, 2008. This release is based on the latest version of the JAUS Reference Architecture version 3.3 and has been rebuilt and redesigned to be more reliable, faster and more robust than ever.
Features of the new release:
- A library of JAUS messages, data types and entities which has been rewritten to be completely standalone and ANSI C99 complaint.
- A completely redesigned and rewritten JAUS Node Manager which is written in C++, eliminating the need for the JAVA Runtime Engine on the target platform.
- JAUS Reference Architecture version 3.3 messages and components
- A set of examples and tutorials which lead developers through the most common OpenJAUS tasks in creating JAUS systems

JAUS Tool Set
Building JAUS tools for the future
The OpenJAUS Development team has joined with ONR, AFRL, the University of Florida and others to form a team dedicated to developing tools for the JAUS development community which coincide with the advances being done to the JAUS standard. As SAE AS-4 develops the JAUS Service Definition Interface Language (JSIDL) and JAUS Service Set (JSS), OpenJAUS is there with other industry and academic groups to provide free, open-source tools which comply to the latest standards.
